(French then English pattern)

Ce manchon est assorti à l'écharpe Flora de Kate Kuckro sur Knitty.com dont le modèle est ICI  et au bonnet Flora dont j'ai composé le modèle LA 

Fournitures :
- 2 pelotes de 50 g de laine Pingouin Aquarelle, coloris bégonia
- aig droites n°6 or one circular needle n° 6

Points :
- jersey, point de riz et côtes 2/2

Echantillon :
- 10 cm = 16 m x 18 rgs

Ce manchon peut être tricoté à plat avec une paire d'aiguilles droites, il conviendra alors de faire une couture discrète pour le montage. Il peut aussi être tricoté sur une aiguille circulaire.

Explications :

Monter 48 m avec les aig n° 6, tricoter 13 cm en côtes 2/2.
Au dernier rang de côtes faire une série d'augmentations : *1 m end, 2 m end dans la m suivante, 2 m env* . Répéter de * à * jusqu'à la fin du rg. On obtient 60m.
Tricoter 2 rgs en jersey puis continuer 8 rgs au point de riz.
Former ensuite un rg de jours : *1 m end, 1 jeté, 2 m ens à l'end*. Répéter de * à * jusqu'à la fin du rg.
Continuer en jersey durant 28 cm.
Faire un nouveau rg de jours, puis 8 rgs au point de riz et 2 rgs en jersey.
Continuer en côtes 2/2 en faisant au premier rg une série de diminutions : *1 m end, 2 m ens à l'end, 2 m env*. Répéter de * à * jusqu'à la fin du rg. On obtient 48 m.
Finir par 13 cm en côtes 2/2 et rabattre les m.






Montage :

Si vous avez tricoté avec des aiguilles droites, faire une couture discrète sur l'envers du tricot, dans le sens de la longueur. 
Retournez le manchon sur l'endroit, faites passer une extrémité en côtes à l'intérieur du manchon jusqu'à ce qu'elle ressorte de l'autre côté comme sur la photo.



Coudre ensemble les 2 bords côtes par une couture plate. 
Rentrer, en les faisant coulisser, les parties en côtes à l'intérieur du manchon de façon à ce qu'elles ne soient plus visibles et forment la doublure du manchon qui ainsi, sera bien chaud et tiendra bien en place.

This muff fits with the Flora scarf from Kate Kuckro on Knitty.com , pattern : HERE, and with the Flora's hat I made, pattern THERE  

Materials :
- 2 skeins of Aquarelle from Pingouin (50% wool, 47% acrylic, 3% viscose), (50 g = 60 m = 66 yd), or any yarn that fits the gauge
- n° 10 US / 6 mm needles or one circular needle

Stiches :
- stockinette stitch, seed stitch and 2/2 ribs.

Gauge :
-  4 inches = 10 cm = 16 st x 18 rows


You may knit this muff with one circular needle or with two single-pointed needles, as you prefer, then you will have to make a discret sewing at the end. 

Directions :

Cast on 48 st with n° 10 US needles or circular needle and make 13 cm = 5.1 inches in 2/2 ribs.
At the last row of ribs, increase the number of st as follow : * k1, kfb, p2*, repeat from * to * untill the end of the row. You have 60 st.
Make two rows in stockinette stitch, then 8 rows in seed stitch.
Then make one eyelet row : * k1, yo, k2tog* , repeat from * to * untill the end of the row.
Continue in stockinette stitch for 28 cm =  11 inches.
Make again one eyelet row, 8 rows in seed stitch and 2 rows in stockinette stitch. 
Continue in 2/2 ribs, decreasing the number of st at the first row as follow : * k1, k2tog, p2* , repeat from * to * untill the end of the row.
Finish with 13 cm = 5.1 inches in ribs. 

Finishing :

If you knitted with 2 single-pointed needles, make a discret sewing on the wrong side of the muff along the longer border.
Return the muff on the right side, sleep one ribbed part into the muff so you can see it on the other side like on the picture above.
Make a plate sewing between the two ribbed parts, sleep the ribs into the muff so it became the inner part. With this linner, the muff will be warm and stay around your hands.
